Examination Reforms
Reform 1 : Semester system with 15 weeks duration was introduced in 2010.
Benefit: Students can gain more knowledge on their respective subjects in a short
               period.

Reform 2 : The CBCS was introduced from the academic year 2015- 2016.
Benefit: Students will have the benefit of choice for selecting their own interested
               subject
.
Reform 3: Lab examinations are conducted Semester wise instead of year wise from 
                  the academic year 2015- 2016.
Impact: Students can gain thorough knowledge of related course by the Semester end
              practical examination system.

Reform 4: Instead of marks memorandum grade sheet was introduced. It indicates
                  credits of the course maximum marks, marks obtained (for CIA & SEE) 
                  and letter grade.
Impact: This reform helps in comparing the performance in two modes of evaluation 
               and also useful for student, if she wants to apply for revaluation.

Reform 5: Exemptions are given for students who participate in district, state, national 
                  level events.
Impact: This helps students to actively engage in events.

Reform 6:  Examination pattern for CIA and SEE ratio is changed from 30:70 to 40:60
                   from 2017 – 2018.
Impact: Student can gain more knowledge interestingly by activities.

Reform 7: Objective test for each course (except FC course) is implemented from the
                  academic year 2017 – 2018.
Impact: Preparing the students for entrance examination of higher education

Reform 8: OMR Sheet was introduced for one of the Foundation course
                 (Analytical skills) in semester IV in the academic year 2017 – 2018
Impact: Preparing the students for competitive Examination system.

Reform 9 : Separate provisional and consolidated Marks Memo is issued to the tudents
                   from the Academic year 2017 – 2018 mentioning the CGPA and Grade 
                   letter for Part – I, Part – II and Part – III.
Benefit:  For avoiding the delay in issue of Provisional Certificate due to the Counter 
               sign of C.E from affiliated university.

Reform 10: Giving waitage for activities in CIA of PG examination pattern from the 
                    Academic year 2018- 2019 onwards.
Benefit: Students are trained as multi talented.

Reform 11: Credit and Grading system was implemented for PG Programmes from the
                    Academic year 2018 – 2019.
 Impact: Avoid unnecessary importance for marks in the examination system.

Reform 12: Conducting examinations and issue of certificate of diploma course 
                     offered by college form the academic year 2018 -2019
Impact: For proper monitoring of the programme  it is merged with examination cell.

Reform 13: 40% pass percentage compulsory for CIA was implemented form the 
                     academic year 2019 – 2020
Impact:   Student can focus on activities.

Reform 14: Online activity for CIA is implemented from the academic year
                    2019- 2020 according department choice.
Impact:  Students are exposed for digitalized education system.

Reform 15: A student can earn extra credits if they produce UGC recommended online
                    course Certificate , APPSDC Certificate, Spoken tutorials and 
                    certificate/diploma Certificates offered by the college from the academic 
                    year 2019- 2020 onwards.
Benefit: Students are encouraged to gain more knowledge of different interested fields
               and also, Students are exposed to online education system.


Proposed reforms
1.     Online examination system for PG courses.
2.     Online Objective examination and evaluation for UG courses.
3.     It is proposed to conduct viva-voice examination for Communication and soft skills course.
